As I wrote in Aeronautical Weather, all civil airport must have sensors like anemometer, barometer, thermo-hygrometer ecc... in order to send the weather bulletin. All data came from the sensor are sent and analyzed to the AWOS system. All this systems follow the ICAO regulation, in particular AWOS systems must be compliant to the ANNEX 3 ICAO. Every 4 years ICAO create a new Amendment whit new regularization. Today AWOS systems are compliant with the Amend. 75.
